Since her graduation in 2006 from The New School's "Master Class of Healthy Cooking", Bela has been specializing in holistic nutrition. Since then, there have been courses in Ayurveda and nutrition at the Ayurveda Center of New York, chef of the kitchen for natural gourmet institute, iridology by the New York Center for Iridology, permaculture, and the College of Nutrition Science, Hunter College.
Bela is a presenter of the Bela Cozinha program, a successful audience of the GNT channel, where she receives celebrities, small producers and specialists in natural food. In one of the special editions, he had Jamie Oliver, with whom he chatted, exchanged knowledge and presented some of his nutritious and delicious recipes.

In Rio de Janeiro, Bela Gil signs the "Da Bela" restaurants menu, located in two units - Arpoador and Barra - of a large international hotel chain. The proposal of the dishes is that guests and clients can have healthy, nutritious and tasty food, from breakfast to dinner, not forgetting the snacks.

There have already been more than 600 thousand copies sold in Brazil. Launched in 2015, the first book was awarded the Best Brazilian Cookbook by a rookie author by the Gourmand International Awards and was the best-selling cookbook in the years 2014 and 2015. The second book was awarded as the best culinary photography book Brazilian in 2015, being the best selling cookbook in the year 2016. Bela, in addition, is a columnist for Casa & Comida magazine.
In the face of so many achievements in such a short time, Bela Gil received in 2015 the Cariocas of the Year award from Veja Rio magazine for its importance in disseminating the idea of healthy food; In 2016, The Brazilian Awards and also the Order for Merit of Gastronomy.
The daughter of Flora and Gilberto Gil supports several social projects and plays the part of her at the helm of Beautiful childhood, which teaches children from public and private schools throughout Brazil to feed themselves better and combat childhood obesity. Bela is also an advisor to the NGO Gastromotiva - an initiative of chef David Hertz - and the project ATÁ, by chef Alex Atala.
Flor e Nino's mother, married to entrepreneur Joao Paulo Demasi, also teaches cooking classes and lectures all over Brazil. Her most recent project for TV is the "Vida + Bela" lifestyle, in GNT, where besides recipes, Bela shows a bit of the day to day life of the Gil Demasi family.
